Opening Circle, Acropolis Museum & Night Out on the Town!

**Tips: bring good walking shoes

• 15.00-17.00    Initial meeting in Athinais hotel restaurant

• 17.00              Departure for museum and dinner

• 17.30-19.00   Acropolis museum tour

• 19.00-20.00 Walking tour of area

• 20.00-21.30  Dinner in Plaka with live Greek music

 

Day 2-August 28th

Delphi Tour

*Tips: bring sun protection, walking shoes, water

• 7.00-8.15      Breakfast at hotel-pass out gifts

• 8.30              Departure from hotel

• 12.00-16.00 Delphi tour/traditional shepherd's lunch

• 16.00-17.00  Free time in Delphi

• 17.00             Depart for Athens

• 20.30            Optional dinner

 

Day 3- August 29th

Eleusinian Mysteries/Xylocastro

**Tips: Bring sun protection, walking shoes, water 

    Afternoon hike: add swim suit, towel, water shoes   

• 7:00-8:30     Breakfast (anytime)

• 8:30               Start loading luggage

• 9:00              Depart Athinais hotel

• 10:00-12:00 Eleusinian Mysteries

• 12.45-13.45    Corinth Canal, lunch & a big surprise!

• 13.45-14:30   Xylocastro-visit Dimitra’s replica of an ancient                                warship

• 14:30-15.00  Check-in to Arion hotel

• 15:00-19.30  Hiking to the Nymphs Waterfall OR relax, swim,                              rest, forest walk/exploring Eva Palmer’s house

• 19.30-20.30 Dinner with wine tasting

• 20.30 +         Local music festival!

 

Day 4- August 30th

Ancient Corinth: Temple, museum, agora, canal & surprise!

Ancient Sparta: olive oil museum/tasting/amphitheater

**Tip: Sun protection, walking shoes, water

• 7.30-8.00      Greek Alphabet Yoga in the forest

• 7.30 - 9:00    Breakfast

• 9.00               Departure from hotel       

• 9.30-11.00     Ancient Corinth museum, Apollo Temple, agora

• 11:00              Departure from Corinth to Sparta

• 11.45-12.30     Pit stop-shopping, excellent snacks, pies & coffee

• 13:30-15:30    Arrive in Sparta, Olive oil museum and tasting

• 15.30-16.30    Ancient Sparta Amphitheater

• 16:30              Depart for Monemvasia

• 18:00-19.00  Check in to respective hotels, free time 

• 19.00              Dinner at Anemi

 

Day 5- August 31th

Monemvasia Castle Day (stay-cation day)

**Tips: Sun protection, walking shoes, water, swim suit, towel

• 7.45-8.45       Goddesses yoga at Lazaretto

• 7:30 – 10.00 Breakfast @ Lazaretto for all

• 10.00-11:20  CIRCLE 

• 11:30              Catch bus to go uphill to castle (or walk)

• 11.45-12.45    Dimitra’s castle tour

• 12:45-14:00   lunch at Kastraki Tavern

• 14:00-17:00  open time to rest, swim, shop, explore castle                                     grounds, optional art gallery tour with artist                                     present, optional boat tour 

• 18.00-19:00  Greek dance workshop

• 19:00             Dinner

 

Day 6- September 1st

Diros Caves/Shipwreck Beach

**Tips: Sun protection, walking shoes, water, swim suit, towel

• 7.45-8.45       Breakfast

• 9.00              Depart for Diros (bring your passport please)

• 11.00-12.30  Diros Cave boat tour

• 13.00-13.30  Shopping at the ceramics store

• 14.30-17.30   Gytheio (shop, bakery, lunch on the beach, swim) 

• 17:30             Departure for Monemvasia    

• 18.30- 19.30 Free time

• 19.30             Optional dinner

 

Day 7-September 2nd

Artemis Valley/Geraki Weaving School

**Tips: Sun protection, walking shoes, water, swim suit, towel

• 7.45-8.45       Goddesses yoga at Lazaretto

• 7.30-9:30      Breakfast

• 9.30               Departure for Artemis Valley

• 10.30-12.00  Artemis Valley hike with farmer’s picnic (all)

• 12.00-13.30   Rituals in Artemis Valley OR castle visit)

• 13.30-14.45    Visit to Geraki weaving school

• 15.00-15.30   Visit to old Geraki Byzantine church

• 15.30              Depart for Monemvasia

• 16:30-18:00  Free time in Monemvasia

• 18:00-19:30  CIRCLE

• 19.30              Dinner & dancing @ Athivoli (walk or ride)

 

Day 8- September 3rd

Village Life in Agios Dimitrios Zarakos (Dimitra’s home town)

**Tips: Sun protection, walking shoes, water, swim suit, towel

• 7.45-8.45       Goddesses yoga at Lazaretto

• 9.00-10.00  Breakfast

• 10:00            Departure from Monemvasia

• 10:45-16:00  Times will be flexible today:tour of Sparta Gaia                                (Dimitra’s family home & UNESCO World Heritage                          Site), poetry workshop, Dimitra’s Village Life                                    Museum, wine press, lunch

• 16.00             Departure towards Monemvasia

• 17.00-18.30   Dinner at Sea Caves Beach w/dancing 

• 19.00-19:30   Free time in Monemvasia

• 19.30              CIRCLES or games

 

Day 9-September 4th

Pavlopetri/Elafonisos Island

**Tips: Sun protection, walking shoes, water, swim suit, towel,               goggles, snorkel

• 7.45-8.45     Goddesses yoga

• 9.30              Depart for Pavlopetri 

Group 1-shorter snorkel time, more time in village by the sea

• 10.30-11.30  Snorkel tour closer to beach (group 2 can hang out                          at the beach or at the cafe)

• 11.30-11.45    Load in the van & depart         

• 12.00-13.00  Ferry to Elafonisos Island (Princess Di's favorite)

• 13.00-           Walk around village, shop, eat lunch or wait to eat                          with rest of group at Antoni's on the waterfront

  Group 2-longer tour with swim out to submerged chamber tomb 

• 10.30-11.30   Free beach time to swim/snorkel or enjoy cafe

• 11.30-12:30    Snorkel tour  

• 12.30-12:45               load in van and depart for ferry

• 13.00              Ferry to Elafonisos Island

Groups reunite​

• 13.30-16.15   Lunch at Antoni’s Tavern, free time

• 16:15              Walk back to ferry

• 16:30             Depart on ferry back, depart to Monemvasia

• 17:30- 18.30  Free time in Monemvasia

• 18.30-19:30  Closing CIRCLE

• 19.30             Dinner

 

 

 

Day 10-September 5th

Travel back to Athens via Napflio

**Tips: Sun protection, walking shoes, water, swim stuff if desired

• 9.00   Depart Monemvasia

• 12.30  Napflio (lunch, boat tour of castle, lunch, shopping)

• 16.30  Depart for Piraeus port

• 19.00 Arrive at Ferry to Lesvos

• GOODBYES FOR SOME…
