Opening Circle, Benaki Museum, Acropolis Museum & Night Out on the Town!

Delphi Tour

Eleusinian Mysteries/Xylokastro

(Tips*: For Eleusis sun protection gear, walking shoes, water, notebook, pen.

In Xylokastro:  bathing suit, towel, water shoes)

10:00-12:00      Eleusinian Mysteries

12.45 -13.30        Arrival in Xylocastro: Visit Dimitra’s replica of an ancient warship and

                           check-in to Arion hotel

15:00-18.30       Botanical mythological walk by Dimitra, or relax,  

                           swim, rest, walk/explore Eva Palmer’s house

18.30-19.30       CIRCLE

19.30-20.30      Dinner at pine tree forest pavilion & local organic wines tasting

 

Day 4- Aug 31, Monday

Nemea’s ancient stadium, Zeus temple and Nafplio tour

9.30-10.15       Travelling to Nemea

10.15-12.30      Guided tour in Zeus temple, Museum, running in ancient stadium

Hera’s Sanctuary and Vouliagmeni Lake

Ancient Corinth: Apollo’s Temple, Agora, Corinth Canal

Ancient Sparta: olive oil museum/tasting/amphitheater

7.30-8.15           Greek Alphabet Yoga (light standing poses)

11.45-12.45        Pit stop at Corinth Canal-shopping, snacks, pies & coffee

13:45-15:30       Arrive in Sparta, Olive oil museum and tasting

16:30                 Depart for Monemvasia

18:00-19.00     Check in to respective hotels, free time

Day 7- Sept 3, Thursday

Monemvasia Castle Day (stay-cation day)

11.30-12.30      Dimitra’s castle tour

12.30 –14.00   Lunch at castle tavern Kanoni

14:00-17:00    Open time to rest, swim, shop, explore castle grounds, optional art    

                         gallery  tour with artist present or boat tour

18.00-19:00    Greek  dance workshop

19:00               Dinner

Day 8- Sept 4, Friday

Diros Caves/Shipwreck Beach

 (Tips*: sun protection gear, shoes for slippery ground, water, bathing suit, towel,)

9.00                  Depart for Diros (bring your passport please)

11.00-12.30      Diros Cave boat tour

13.00-13.30      Shopping at the ceramics store

14.30-17.30      Gytheio and shipwreck beach (shop, bakery, lunch on the sandy

                          beach, swim) 

17:30                 Departure for Monemvasia    

18.30                Free time and optional dinner

 

Day 9- Sept 5, Saturday

Artemis Valley/Geraki Weaving School

9.30                  Departure for Artemis Valley

10.30-14.15      Artemis Valley hike with farmer’s picnic and rituals

14.30-15.30      Visit to Geraki weaving school

15.30                Depart for Monemvasia

 Day 10- Sept 6, Sunday

Pavlopetri/Elafonisos Island

(Tips*: sun protection gear, walking shoes, water, swimming suit, towel, goggles)

9.30                 Depart for Pavlopetri

10.30-13.00    Snorkelling or ferry to Elafonisos

13.30 – 16.30   Groups reunite, lunch at Antony’s Tavern, walk, shop, swim

16:30                Ferry back, depart to Monemvasia

17:30- 18.30    Free time in Monemvasia

18.30-19:30     Closing CIRCLE

19.30                Dinner

 

Day 11-Sept 7, Monday

Travel back to Athens

9.00     Depart Monemvasia

12.00   Mantineia site and Agia Foteini church, lunch at traditional tavern

16.00   Depart for Piraeus port

19.00   Arrive at Ferry to travel back to either the Athens airport or Lesvos

For those continuing on to Lesvos, pack an overnight bag with your toiletries and whatever else you need for the ferry and the day trip. Your big suitcases will stay below so you will only take your carry on's with you to your room!! If need be, you can get into your suitcases when we arrive.
